WELL-COMBINED: HYBRID PARTS
The combination of metal part and plastic part in a hybrid part brings various advantages: For example, the tension resilience of a metal part is by factor 10 to 100 above that of a plastic part, but the weight of a plastic part is only about 15-20% of that of the metal part of the same build.
This is where hybrid part production comes in: It combines the advantages of plastic and metal.
We use various production methods to produce hybrid parts.
PRODUCTION METHODS
In hybrid parts-production, we use various production methods.
The individual materials are combined by welding, bonding, spraying, riveting, flanges or assembly.
Depending on application and requirement to the hybrid part, we use:
• Insertion
• Outsertion
• Hybrid technique
• Overmolding
• Assembly injection moulding
• Composite injection moulding
